We have a saying at A Family Member HomeCare:
“You Can’t Train Nice.”
Almost anyone can be trained to assist with the activities of daily living, such as ambulation, bathing, dressing, feeding, personal hygiene, transferring, or with light housekeeping and meal preparation. We have hundreds of applicants who come to our offices every month who can perform these tasks, but that’s not enough to qualify for a placement with one of our senior Clients. Caregivers must have personality too!
“We hire good Caregivers, who themselves come from good families.”
— Brian Gauthier, CEO
A Family Member HomeCare assigns only certified Home Health Aides, Certified Nurse Assistants, RNs, LPNs, and Companions. All A Family Member HomeCare certified Caregivers must have the appropriate experience to match Client needs. Our proprietary screening processes go far beyond the State of Florida Agency for Health Care Administration requirements and include:
Being a good Caregiver is a difficult and sometimes thankless job, so we support our Caregivers with a responsive, live 24-hour support team, comprising a Client Manager, Care Relations Manager, Director of Nursing, and a Telephony Manager. Our Caregivers receive prompt administrative support giving them the respect and dignity that they deserve.
“Because we treat our Caregivers well, they have less stress in their lives and are better able to focus on providing the loving care and compassion that our senior Clients deserve.”
— Brian Gauthier, CEO
People are always commenting that A Family Member HomeCare “has the best Caregivers!” It’s true, we have wonderful Caregivers! We interview 25 or so applicants in order to find the next “right one” who will work well with our senior Clients.
Our Client families often ask us “Where do these Caregivers come from?” “What kind of people are they?” “What kinds of backgrounds do they have?” We have male Caregivers too, but 95% are female, reflecting Client preference. Click here to read the profiles of some of our Caregivers.
“I have been using the services of A Family Member HomeCare for about nine years. I have used them professionally as a nurse case manager. I have used them personally as a daughter, niece, cousin, friend, and neighbor. All have been more than satisfied with the services that have been provided and the caring and professionalism of the Caregivers. In my opinion, that is the trickle down effect… Brian is one of the most caring and professional people I have worked with.”
